Where this comes from

Most wholesalers publish a downloadable list once you have a trade account. After logging in, look for Downloads, Price list or Stock file. Pound Wholesale and Pelican both offer one. If there's no download, email the account manager asking for the current stock file as CSV — they send these routinely.

It needs to contain:

Product name
Your trade cost per unit
A barcode (EAN or UPC) — this is what matches to Amazon
Case quantity or MOQ, if they set one

A typical file looks like:

Barcodes matter more than names. Matching on product titles is unreliable — the same item is worded differently on every site.

Where this comes from

Keepa (keepa.com, around £16/month) is the practical source. Use Product Finder or Product Viewer, paste in your barcodes, then export to CSV. You get current price, sales rank, offer counts, and whether Amazon is selling on the listing.

The FBA fee isn't in Keepa. Get it from Seller Central's FBA revenue calculator — search the ASIN, enter dimensions, read the fulfilment fee. For a first pass, estimate: small items around £2.70, standard parcels £3.10–4.40. The default in step 3 fills any gaps.

A Keepa export header looks roughly like:

Monthly units is the weakest number here. Keepa infers it from rank drops. Treat it as an order of magnitude, never a forecast.

What these mean

Referral fee is Amazon's commission on the sale price. 15% covers most categories; check yours in Seller Central.

Prep is the third-party prep centre's charge per unit to receive, label and forward — mandatory since July 2026. Typically 40–60p.

Carriage is inbound delivery divided across the units in the order.

Minimum ROI is return on cash tied up, not margin on the sale. 30% is a sane floor: money comes back roughly every two months, so 30% per cycle compounds properly. Margin percentage flatters slow stock.

VAT registered converts everything to net and reclaims VAT on Amazon fees. Run it once with the box unticked and once ticked — the difference is precisely what registration costs you, and answers whether a VAT-gated wholesaler like Qogita is worth it.

Reading the results

Click any column heading to sort. Rejected lines stay visible but faded so you can see what nearly worked — often a line fails on one flag you could negotiate away, like carriage on a bigger order.

What to look at first

Pass rate is the honest signal. Screening a full price list and finding 2–5% workable is normal for open-registration wholesalers. Finding 40% almost always means a column is mapped wrongly — check that cost and sell aren't swapped.

6mo avg/mo vs Last 30d comes from Keepa's rank drops — each drop is roughly one sale. If the last 30 days is well above the six-month average, the item is accelerating; well below, and you'd be buying into a fade. The sparkline plots those three points in order.

Units/mo divides estimated sales by sellers plus you. Ten units a month at £4 profit is £40 — real, but it won't carry the £25 Seller Central fee alone.

Flags worth taking seriously: Amazon on the listing means you'll rarely hold the buy box. A high seller count means margin is already being competed away. A large MOQ on a slow line is dead capital.

Before buying, open the Keepa chart for that ASIN and look at 12 months of price and rank history. No spreadsheet substitutes for that.
